Mystery Beck is a Faculty Librarian for law and criminology at the University of Portsmouth (England). She started her professional career as a social studies teacher in a secondary school and moved into librarianship to pursue her passion for the field. Mystery has experience working in school libraries, public libraries, and academic libraries in Canada and the UK. In her current role, Mystery teaches information literacy skills as well as critical evaluation to her law students and her criminology students (which includes policing). Her goal is to ensure that all her students have the capability to find and identify reliable information when they enter the real world post-graduation where they will cease to have access to university resources.
