John “JG” Chirapurath is Senior Vice President and General Manager of Workflow Solutions. In this role, he leads strategic development of ProQuest’s technology business, which focuses on empowering the academic community with solutions that improve research outcomes and enable libraries to deliver greater value to their institutions.
Mr. Chirapurath’s professional career spans more than 15 years of progressive experience in technology companies—from start-ups to Fortune 50 organizations. Before joining ProQuest, he was Vice President and General Manager of Hewlett Packard’s Application Lifecycle Management business. Other cross-functional leadership positions include Senior Director at two different business units at Microsoft. He also co-founded Sarvega, a pioneer of intelligent data center switches. As Vice President and Board Member, he was instrumental in scaling the business and helping lead the acquisition of Sarvega by Intel Corporation.
Mr. Chirapurath holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland. He is based in ProQuest’s Seattle office.
