David Consiglio is the Coordinator of Information Services for the Social Science and Administrative departments at Bryn Mawr College. Consiglio works with faculty and students in the areas of statistics, research and survey methodology. While pursuing his graduate studies at the University of Maryland, Consiglio was an instructor for statistics, statistical programming, and social science research methods. In 1996, he was hired by the University of Maryland to provide statistical, survey and research methods support for the College of Behavioral and Social Science faculty and graduate students. Consiglio moved to Bryn Mawr College in 2001, where he continues to work with faculty and students in these areas and also teaches a course in survey research methods. In 2005, he led representatives from Bates College, Middlebury College, University of Richmond, and Wellesley College in the development of the Merged Information Services Organizations (MISO) survey which explores service quality for library and information technology organizations at colleges and universities. Since its inception in 2005, 38 of the top liberal arts and research institutions in the United States have participated in the MISO survey. He continues to serve as the primary investigator for the survey. Over the years, Consiglio has developed and consulted on hundreds of surveys and research projects.
