ISO 19264-1:2021 Photography — Archiving systems — Imaging systems quality analysis — Part 1: Reflective originals

"This document describes a method for analysing imaging systems quality in the area of cultural heritage imaging. The method described analyses multiple imaging systems quality characteristics from a single image of a specified test target. The specification states which characteristics are measured, how they are measured, and how the results of the analysis need to be presented. This specification applies to scanners and digital cameras used for digitization of cultural heritage material. NOTE This document addresses imaging of reflective originals, a future part two will address imaging of transparent original."
ISO 19475:2021 Document management — Minimum requirements for the storage of documents

"This document specifies the minimum requirements necessary to maintain the authenticity, integrity and readability of documents managed by an electronic document management system. Clarifying the methods and procedures for appropriately handling electronic documents promotes the usability of the documents, in both a legal and business context. This document expresses a general business process as a document handling process. The document handling processes include receiving, processing and delivering the documents as follows: approving the receipt of a document in a manner that is appropriate for a work process; storing the formal document in the work process environment; delivery of the document to another organization. This document establishes the controls for execution of the work processes while maintaining the authenticity and integrity of the document received. This document establishes the policies for the storage of documents used as part of the work process. It also details the controls for performing the receipt and conversion process appropriately."
ISO 690:2021 Information and documentation — Guidelines for bibliographic references and citations to information resources

"This document describes a set of principles, guidelines, and requirements for the preparation of bibliographic references and citations in works that are not themselves primarily bibliographical. It is applicable to bibliographic references and citations for all kinds of information resources, including but not limited to monographs, serials, contributions within monographs and serials, patents, cartographic materials, artworks, performances and diverse electronic resources, such as research datasets, databases, programs and applications, Web archives and social media, music, recorded sound, prints, photographs, graphic and audio-visual materials, archival sources and moving images. This document provides a system for citing information resources that renders deterministic output, such that a citation generated by this system can be uniquely mapped back to the originally defined set of source elements. This system is intended to be applicable across multiple languages. Citations generated by this system are machine-parseable. The citation system described in this document can be used as a configurable framework for building citation styles. This document does not specify a data model for machine‑readable citations, although such specification may be provided in a separate document or added to a later edition of ISO 690."
ISO/IEC 23127-1:2021 Information technology — Learning, education, and training — Metadata for facilitators of online learning — Part 1: Framework

"This document specifies a metadata structure to store, present and exchange online learning facilitator (OLF) information by specifying the data elements and their attributes to describe facilitator’s information on various kinds of online education platforms. This document provides a generic information model of OLF to describe relevant information that applies to the facilitation and training services provided online, and includes information about the person offering facilitation, the affiliation of the person, facilitation ability, facilitation practices, the facilitation service offered, learners’ reviews and testimonies, and related social network information. The conceptual data model allows the linguistic diversity of OLF information attributes and offers a flexible metadata schema to describe them."
BIBFRAME June 2021 Update Forum (Library of Congress)
As part of the ALA Annual Virtual meeting in June, the Library of Congress reported on BIBFRAME activities. "[LC] is planning a large expansion and other new activities in the community are bringing linked data closer to reality. In this Forum the Library of Congress will report on its progress toward “BIBFRAME 100”. Stanford will report progress on the community level and provide exciting news about a BIBFRAME data pool – cooperatively created by the Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC), OCLC and ShareVDE. The PCC is also starting to look at important aspects of data exchange in this new BIBFRAME environment. With several large implementations of BIBFRAME now having extensive experience, the BIBFRAME ontology is being adjusted based on this experience."
Web Audio API is a W3C Recommendation
"The Audio Working Group has published Web Audio API as a W3C Recommendation. This specification describes a high-level Web API for creating, shaping, and processing audio directly in a Web browser or in web applications. With the API standardized and deployed as a royalty-free feature in Web browsers and other devices and platforms, both on desktop and mobile, creating sound with the Web Audio API has become a dependable, widely available, built-in capability, eliminating the need to install plugins or download separate applications."
